Why does Daniel still wear glasses?

Daniel was on his death bed having been hit with a lethal dose of radiation. He was saved through ascension. When he became mortal again, his body no longer had any remaining affects of radiation. So since ascension clearly heals the body completely, when Daniel returned, shouldn't his eyesight have been perfect? Thus he shouldn't need his glasses anymore, right?

I like him better with longer hair and glasses. Although the scruffy beard is nice too.

Not me. I like my men clean-shaven. Sometimes a man will look better without the beard. The only man I can think of that I don't like without a beard is Chuck Norris. I saw him on Christian television and his face looked naked without it.

Not neccessarily. Myopia isn't an injury or an illness, and although environment can have something to do with it, it's also genetic, so they'd have had to change his DNA.
