I noticed there wasn't a thread (unless I missed it and then I apologize) about the minor characters of Stargate, in either series. These people fill the empty holes in the series and allow for stories to be told and people to die without our beloved main characters to die and us to throw something at the television.
Which ones do we love? Which ones do we hate? Which ones do we need to see more of? (or wish we saw more of, but now their dead/sg1 is cancelled).

Personally, I really like Lindsey Novak, the hiccuping engineer on the Daedalus who worked with Hermoid. She's a great comic relief character, not unlike Walter or Doctor Leein the SGC. I also, if you guys didn't guess yet, love Katie Brown the botanist on Atlantis and the love interest for McKay since season 2. She's cute and offers more personal depth for McKay's character.
While I hated him as a character because he's a jerk, Kavanagh another scientist from Atlantis should have more appearances, espcially now that Weir is gone. It's thought by most Stargate fans that he transferred back to Earth, but wouldn't it make sense for him to try again with a new leader in charge?
One minor character I just never really got was Sgt Bates. Sure, he's the head of security and did the whole "Teyla is a traitor" plot, but ever since then, we haven't heard a peep from him. I hate it when characters are just dropped without any explanation. At least mention in passing that he's gone back to Earth for something.
