I did enjoy this episode a lot. I don't know, it could have been because this is the very first episode that anyone in my family has shown interest in besides me. To boot, it was my beautiful son. He was pretty excited too and sat on my lap as we watched it together.
But, I digress. Back to the episode. Nice storyline, not any different than many others, but I liked the way it played out. Stole a bit from....what's that movie.....Momento (I think) with Rodney writing on himself. That was funny. I like how Amanda Tapping is fitting it. I'm suprised, but, to me, it seems to be a smooth transition.
I wasn't at all suprised that Teyla and Ronan weren't affected. I did like Ronans part in this episode. After what happened to him in the past episode with his friends, he seemed to show his feelings about his new friends a bit more and seemed a bit more carrying.
Oh, BTW, is Rachel Lutrell pregnant. I thought she might be, but then it could have been what she was wearing.
I liked it!

Unfortunately, I missed this episode. I was helping my mother move and she did not get her satellite dish up and running until Saturday night.
I have also thought that Rachel was pregnant. Just look at what she has been wearing all season. In the past seasons she has worn mid drift baring tops and the like. This season she has been wearing bulking coats and not showing near as much skin.

I'm really glad Katie Brown didn't die. I was really worried she might, but Rodney and her are too cute together!
And yes, Teyla's actress is pregnant... dun dun dun!
Edit: She just had a baby boy :)

So Rachel had a baby. Good for her.:yea: I bet she will not have any problem getting back in shape.LOL I met her at Dragon Con in 2006 and she was so tiny. She, Torri Higginson, and I were leaving the hotel at the same time and all three of us were outside the hotel with our luggage waiting on our rides and I was standing right next to Rachel. I am 5'3" and I felt like a giant next to her.

There is rumour that they are encorporating the pregnancy in the show.. but I dunno if that's true or not.

I don't know why they would. That would be a faisco to either hide or build into the storyline. Most shows (that I know of) discourage it.

I have a question that's been on my mind for a while now. How come Radek knew he spoke Czech? I mean, wouldn't that go as well?

Does he have a Czech patch? Maybe he saw his patch and assumed, with a combination of the accent. Who knows?

But he actually speaks it. I mean, I guess you could argue that since it's his native language, he'd know it, but then would he not be able to speak English? I dunno, I know it's one of those "it's easier this way" for the plot, but ya.

Of course it is. Because that would beg the question on how does everyone know english (if that is their native tongue)?
I keep telling you people, they only have 45 minutes of showtime. That can't get stuck on these kinds of questions. :thanx:

I think I figured it out. Sort of.....
I rewatched it and the doctor said the hormones blocks "episodic memory". If I'm not mistaken, a language would fall under the category of "procedural memory". The memory that houses long term memory of learned skills.
While, that certainly stll leaves unanswered questions, like if it didn't affect procedural memory, how the doctor forgot what to do, it still clarifies things a little.

I just saw this episode and thought it was great. It would be hard for the doctor to remember how to do things and also for rodney how to do things on the computer, even if their body remembers how, their mind wouldn't know what. It's a matter of clicking whichever button you feel like, but you would get so confused you wouldn't know what to press.
