I want to watch one episode every other day to keep it lasting, but I watched two monday, now it's wednesday, I have watched one, but I have to watch another one. It's so mentally hard work to avoid watching one, I mean I have the s9 on dvd, and I just wanna watch them all but I have to fight... HARD

I get that. But, personally I would save it for a non school/work day and then vegg out and watch them the entire day.

I can sympathize! I get out the DVD's. Just gonna watch one episode, I tell myself. Then it's just one disk...and then it's just one more episode...and then it's sandwich night on the old homestead because I forgot to thaw anything out for dinner! LOL!

Of course, all of that Stargate injected into my system sets the Muse into high gear!

Addiction? oh man, that's too light a word I think for me. I can definitely sympathize. I own all 10 SG-1 seasons on DVD and my husband and I would watch an episode while having dinner to relax after coming home from work but sometimes it was always so difficult to stop at just one episode and when it was all over with the series I was sad.

But instead of starting them all over again we decided to go ever further and start buying the Atlantis DVD's! So now we have another addiction! We only have the first 2 seasons right now but the others we will get soon to feed our habit!

Just be thankful if all you have is an 'episode-watching' addiction! Beware you don't turn out like me and let your addiction turn into a collection (and no, I don't just mean DVD Collection!!

Too bad to hear that, I guess Stargate isn't his cup of tea?

My hubby was the one who got me started on Stargate. Now he has no choice but to live with it...:raz: He's definitely a big fan though, although admittedly not nearly as big as me and he's gotten, and still gets me, lots of very cool Stargate stuff for special events (birthdays, Christmas that sort of thing...hence the collection I mentioned earlier). I keep telling him it's cuz I'm a major geek, he tries to make me feel better by saying that I'm just very knowledgeable but I know the truth, I'm a geek.

Right now we've just started on S3 of Atlantis but unfortunately it's only on TV Sunday nights on Space Channel here in Ontario because we haven't bought the DVD set yet..dang are they ever expensive here! But soon we hope they will go on sale, just like all the rest eventually did, and we can snatch one up and even if we've already seen the season on TV we will watch the episodes all over again I'm sure. Why? Because we can.:yea:

He is not a huge fan, but can tolerate it in bits and pieces. Unfortunately, he cannot get past the fact that almost all species they run into speak English. Just rubs him wrong to no end. I tried to explain it to him. After commercials, they only have about 45mins. of air time. Not enough time to explain the language issue everytime. Plus, wouldn't ya get tired of the explanation after 10 years anyway?

LOL!

Indeed..... He's not the first to complain about that and I'm sure he won't be the last but it's still a great show and like much of sci-fi requires you to toss your reality check right out the door, that's what so fun about it so really it's his loss.

Would you say it's better for someone to be caught-up with the show and watching new epsiodes as they are released or to be someone who just got addicted and has all those episodes to catch up on?

I'm in both categories as I didn't start watching until season 6. So, during the week I was playing catch up and then watching the new epi's every Friday.

I had the same problem too, I didn't start watching SG-1 unitl season 5 and tried to catch re-runs of earlier seasons if I could...so the storylines were kinda weird for a while for me and then suddenly BOOM w/ Daniel Jackson! I was completely lost for a while and didn't get my bearings until season 7. My solution was to go out and start buying the DVD sets...my memory of what happened afterward got lost in a hazy, blurry, stargate-induced delusion I think.

If you're a huge fan, it probably doesn't matter, being in either position is fun.
