New Blog Software.

I have installed an update plus some new blog software today. The update was mainly some security things. The new blog software should really improve the blogging. With this you will be able to control who can see your blog and who can comment on your entries.

I'm still tweaking the access rights to the software, but this is how I see it working. Once you become a sgc explorer, you will be given access to start your own blog, all registered users will be able to comment on blogs unless restricted by the blogger him/herself.

All registered users will be able to search blogs, and read all blogs unless restriced by the blogger him/herself.

All users registered/unregistered/guests etc. will be able to read blogs unless restricted by the blogger him/herself.

Sounds good, but is that why there are not as many blog threads as before?

yes. There where three that had no posts, so i deleted them. I then also deleted my own. Once people start using the new blog system I will turn off all posting to the blog forum and eventually delete it.

To start posting to the new blogs just click on the blogs link at the top.

Not sure if everyone is aware of this, so here it is.

The blog software is all setup. When you post your first time it will create a blog for you. Let me know if anyone has trouble posting. remember you have to be a sgc explorer to post.
