***********

Hey NewFan, I just realized that now you get to watch the show earlier than the West Coast with those of us who see the East Coast times!

I liked the episode. I totally didn't expect them to find the real Merlin and I found that whole storyline to be quite fascinating. My only disappointment was with the dragon. He looked way too fake. And I couldn't believe they didn't realize it wasn't really real. Though it appeared to have very real fire.

Daniel physically looked different to me after downloading the information. Not sure why. I thought his face looked thinner or something.

I wonder if Merlin's comments about how much they looked like people he knew in the past, and then Daniel confirming that about Vala is significant.

Loved seeing Sam punch Ba'al in the face. :) Dude, don't cross her. Didn't care so much for how physical Cameron got with Vala though.

He didn't have his glasses on afterwards.

Love, love, loved that scene. I hope Baal didn't die. Despite him double crossing them more times than I can remember, he's growing on me.

Didn't care so much for how physical Cameron got with Vala though.

I didn't think he had done much physically. What I liked was the heart to heart he had with Vala in the cave. I think he's finally seperated himself from Jack as a leader. I think (hopefully) now people will stop comparing him to Jack.

Oddly enough, I didn't like much the way Adria (sp??) was played. She was so dull. I liked her earlier in the season when she had a little bit more edge.

Oh the dragon.....I think they probably knew it was fake, but just had to figure out the puzzle like they did in the caves.

Daniel has gone without glasses before. He just looked different. His hair looked lighter, his face looked thinner, I don't know why.

It was probably one of Ba'al's clones, so even if he died, he didn't really die. I think the thing I liked the most about the scene was it was so unexpected. I just did not ever imagine Sam turning around and punching him hard in the face like that. Nice little shock factor. Kind of a Hermione Granger moment from "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" where she suddenly spun around and punched Draco in the face.

He didn't do much, but on two separate occassions in the show he grabbed her by the arms and shook her. I thought it was a bit much and that she had not been out of line to the point of deserving that. Although maybe it made her feel cared about, I dunno.

I stopped comparing him to Jack long ago, I think he clearly distinguished himself long ago. Because it was when he did that that I fell in love with his character, and that was some time ago. Or maybe it was earlier this season and feels like last season because the first half of this season was almost a year ago!

I don't care for Adria. I think she's rather boring as well.

he grabbed her by the arms and shook her

Hmmm... I'm gonna have to rewatch it because I remember him grabbing her by the arm(s), but don't recall him actually shaking her. Something, I often do with my kids. LOL! Uh, grabbing them by the arm, not shaking them.

Anyhow, I was really impressed by what he said to her and it was right.

Yeah, it seemed very much more like a parent reacting to their child. Maybe that's why I didn't much care for it since they're both adults and all.

I remember when he told her that part of the team meant watching others suffer. What did he say to her back when they were at the SGC? I don't remember that one as well.

Oh, I think he was just trying to reassure her. He said something like he knew Daniel was alive because Adria needed the information that he had. So, he knew Daniel was okay.

Yeah, but I know a little about what happens to Daniel in the future to question if he's really okay or not. What am I saying, of course he'll turn out alright, they always do. :p

Anissa T

Well, that would certainly make that moment different for you then. I suspect I know what is going to happen to Daniel, but not 100%. But, I'm not gonna dwell on it because I'm enjoying what I thought was a really good episode.

I could so spoil it for you if you don't already know. ;)

Please don't!

I'd have to send you like a pm or else others online would probably get upset with me if I wrote a spoiler for a future episode in here. ;) But yeah, I won't do that since I know you don't like spoilers.

I haven't really been reading ahead to see what's going to happen in the future episodes. For some reason I stumbled across what happens to Daniel, but I don't know if it's in the next episode or what or if it even ties to these events but I suspect it does. I haven't really had the desire to read ahead to find out what happens. Maybe because I keep finding out depressing things when I do. :p

Oh, I have the desire to read ahead. I force myself not to because then is "spoils" (no pun intended) the episode for me. I think in the 4 years I've been watching the show, I've only read ahead once.

I wonder if Merlin's comments about how much they looked like people he knew in the past, and then Daniel confirming that about Vala is significant.

I am just wondering if Daniel is remembering Merlin's early 'Authirian' memories of a woman Merlin once loved. Her name was Nimue.

This is just one persons take on it...
http://www.angelfire.com/me2/camelot/Merlin.html

It is possible ya know. It has been long recorded in history that Merlin and Nimue were an item.

Who knows with the Stargate writting team. Anything is possible.

I love how ba'al didnt do ANYTHING. Hes a cool character, and now a really boring one.

There's a Merlin movie starring Sam Neill. I think that's his name. I know Sci-Fi channel shows the movie. I think it's titled "Merlin." Have you seen it Angelica? Do you know if Nimue was in it? I think I saw it awhile ago and I was sure Merlin had a romantic interest in it but I don't recall who it was.

He's cool even when he isn't doing anything. I really like Ba'al, but then he's like this suave, sophisticated, calculative evil which I think makes an evil being seem even more threatening. Smart bad guys are scarier.

Well,

I Just wanted to say I loved this episode. The best of the season. I agree with Dracus on ball though. Not sure why he was even in that episode.

He was there so we could cheer as Sam punched him the face. ;)

Aw, who cares why he was there, he's eye candy. :p

I liked the look on teal'c face when she punched him.

I'd have to agree with you Carter. Cliff Simon is quite sexy.

Colonel Carter

Teal'c looked surprised and not sure if he should do something. Then he looked amused at how Ba'al got taken down by a girl.

Anissa T

Oh, I loved that look on Teal'C face. I was laughing so hard that my son asked me if my "show" was okay.

Can you tell I'm easily amused?

or

Maybe, it was because I hadn't seen the show in such a long time. I was laughing before it happened because you could tell Teal'C saw it coming and yet he remained where he was because he knew Sam could take care of herself.

Plus, I love that Baal did nothing when she punched him. I think he was so cocky, that he didn't think A GIRL would actually hit him.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't wrote much.

Episode was pretty good!
I don't know if I feel one way or the other about the dragon.
Now that you mention it, Daniel did seem to look different. They must have put on some make-up or something for the affect.
I love Ba'al's character. I like that he was the last major Goa'uld to survive. There's something different about him, and I really like the actor. He looks cool.
I don't think Sam cracked. I think she finally decided to show him whose boss.
