The number 1 web site listed is their own web site. That's not fair, no one else is ever going to be able to get to the number 1 slot. They shouldn't be advertising their own web site on their site like that, that should only be featuring other web sites. What a jip.

Ya'll will have to make up for me the rest of the week because I've been trying to vote every hour in the evening. But I have a meeting to attend tonight at 7 and don't know how long it will last, I have a different meeting to attend tomorrow night at about the same time and don't know how long it will last, and I have an activity to attend on Friday night at 6 which will last most of the evening.

I seem to only be able to vote once at work. I find that to be able to vote more that once a day at home, I have to log out of internet connection and then redial. Go fig. I'd vote more during the day if it would count each time at work. Ah well.

With the unique visit, I believe it allows one vote per ip a day. since you work carter probably has a deditcated ip address ie stays the same, it allows you to vote just once. at home, everytime you redial you can get a new ip address.

I have a deditcated ip at home, so I found I have only been able to vote once a day.

Bummer, and I'll be leaving in less than an hour and won't get back until late, so I won't be able to vote through the afternoon. At the moment we're up to 14 votes, a 10.7 average. Pretty good! Getting close to the leader.

Ok,

I wanted to give you guys some scoop here. I was emailed by the owner of the Chosen One (http://www.robinkh.com/) website. And she explained some things about the voting system along with some other voting sites we could join.

Basicaly we are allowed to place the vote button on one page only. I did not know that, which explains why we had such a high ration of page visits to Unique Page Visits. So I'm in the process of placing the button on the front page only.

Second you are allowed to only vote once a day, and there system handles that, but if there is a bunch of votes that are not unique you can be banned. We average 13 or so unique votes per day but 27 votes a day overall. So I think we are ok there as well.

I have not heard from sg1 archive, so I assume we are not breaking any rules. The lady from the chosen one website was very nice and was just passing along information, and may even join our forum.

Any way We are getting a much higher hit rate on our site which is good. so keep voting every day and lets keep us at number one. Just click the home link at the top to see the vote link.

I'm also going to close this thread as I think it is long enough.
