They're sending Sam to Atlantis, so do you think they would send any of the other characters to the new show?

I think they would love to, but I'm thinking most are ready to take a break, save AT.

I dunno, Ben Browder and Claudia Black haven't been on the show for that long, they might like to go to the new Stargate show.
Not sure about Chris Judge and Michael Shanks, depends on how much they like the work and if they'd like to continue earning money as full time tv stars. :D
I doubt we'll see Anderson on the new series. Doubt he'll do much of any acting that takes him away from Hollywood as long as his daughter is still a child and living there.

Yeah, maybe, but they were working full time for several years before they got their job on SG1.

I would think if I loved acting and I loved that environment, I'd want to keep with it. Some people work at jobs for 20 years straight or more who don't like the job.

Some people do it because they have to, not because they can.

Right, but my point is, people will stick with a job for 20 plus years that they don't like because they feel like they have no other choice. So someone who has the choice and is in a job they absolutely love, it makes sense that they'd be willing to stick with it. :D Hope I'm making some kind of sense with that. It makes sense in my head, not sure I'm explaining it well enough though.

I think when it comes to actors, you can only play a character so long and then it becomes redundant. Sometimes you can put that character in a different enviroment and it can continue such as frazier. but most of the time that doesn't work. I'm hoping a change in location for Carter will keep the character fresh. I'm not sure any of the actors will quit acting, but rather find fresh and new challenges in different characters.

Tell that to William Shatner. ;)

He got a Golden Globe. Not sure why.:huh1:
I think that at least they should bring in some of the old characters every now and then. Daniel has been dying to really get his teeth into what Atlantis has to offer and never really has got the chance. Yes he did go there once but not under the circumstances that he would want.

I think they are waiting to see the premise of the 3rd stargate show (if they make it), see if it is something they want to become involved in.

So how much of Stargate SG-1 have you seen? (And PLEASE tell me you've seen more than just season 9&10...*grin*)

Well you have to start somewhere. Allthough I will agree that if you are a Stargate Fan after only watching seasons 9 and 10 you will have such a great time watching the older shows as they are so much better.

True...have to start somewhere...but if someone has only seen 9&10, then really, they haven't seen the REAL Stargate!
I read an article recently where one of the 'suits' who didn't want to be named (I'm thinking job security!) from Sci-fi admitted that they might have 'acted rashly' in canceling Stargate SC-1. My response? DUH! YA THINK?
Since SG-1 was the only reason I watched the Sci-fi channel, I haven't watched that channel in...hmm...a couple of years now. After watching what was done to SG-1, and then Atlantis (so much potential, such a disappointment!), I'm not holding my breath on this new series they're talking about. You can capture the 'magic' once. (Unless it's the Star Trek franchise...that show is just "blessed"...*grin*). I figure if I go in with very low expectations, I won't be disappointed...and might even be surprised. (And I have NO idea why I went off on THAT tangent! Must be nerves...waiting to receive my SFA notification...*grin* Received an email that I should be getting it...but they were having trouble getting it 'through' to my email.)

Stargate Fan Awards. It's an awards program for fan fiction, fan art, fan music videos...there's a link to their site on my home page...nominations are closed.
And I have mine...finally!:yea:
Until the 'official' announcements, I can't say anything more, or risk being disqualified.
