Do you blog?

Besides here on the board where SGC Cadets and above can blog, do you blog elsewhere on the net? Why or why not? If you do, do you post your real identity? Why or why not? If you do, how long have you blogged?

I do have my own blog on the net which I tried awhile back then quit, but am trying to get into it more now. I blogged there because someone I know and respect blogs there which gave me the confidence to try it. I do post my real name there and blog more deeply into topics than I do on the board here.

I blog on occasion at myspace. But, I use myspace for more of posting pics and stuff for my friends and family.

I don't really like MySpace to be honest. I checked it out, it looked too much like a popularity contest and I didn't know anyone well enough there to chat with. Didn't much care for their format either. But they do offer a lot of options it seems.

I started a blog simply to be able to comment to a friend's blog. Took me forever to actually write anything. I prefer LJ to MySpace...for one, it seems more...um...grown up. But the most important reason is I NEVER get freaking error pages on LJ! I can't tell you the number of times I've had a blog written on MySpace, clicked to post it, only to get an error and find the blog missing in cyberspace! Grrrr! I use it as a way to keep my friends up to date on what I'm doing, and to keep up to date on what they're doing.

I just realized that in about 20 minutes of becoming a member, I have posted three very longwinded comments! (I tend to be a talker. My father has always teased me that I'm the only person he knows who can go to the beach and sunburn her tongue!XD)

I do use my real identity...(never thought about creating an alias...hmm...the possibilities!!! XD) I know that there are several of my regular readers who visit my blogs...couldn't tell ya why...although I think it's cool that they do. I try to be entertaining when I'm complaining about things that tick me off.

I only do MySpace because friends of mine have MySpace pages. I'm not impressed though with their layouts and options.

Col. Carter...I have actually come to despise MySpace...because it so seldom seems to work correctly for me. Like you, I have friends there...that's the only reason I keep going back. You might check out Live Journal if you haven't already...I have found it soooooooooooo much easier to use...and more reliable as well.
