Just a little advice for the holiday season.

As children we're taught to stop, look, and listen before crossing a road. We should hold true to this when driving as well. Even when we have the right of way at a road crossing, always stop, look, and listen and pay attention if someone doesn't look like they're going to stop.

I was once stopped behind a vehicle in the left turn lane onto a U.S. Highway. Our light turned green but the vehicle in front of me wouldn't move. I was almost ready to honk at them when a semi-truck came barreling through the intersection in front of him. The semi ran a red light. If the vehicle in front of me drove on ahead into the intersection to make their turn since they had the right of way, it could have been the last thing they ever did.

Yesterday when out driving I came upon a wreck where a car clearly ignored a stop sign and barreled into the side of another vehicle.

So just a little driving tip, especially for the holiday season. At every intersection, pay attention to oncoming traffic. There might be an idiot driver barreling your way who's not paying any attention to the traffic laws.

Amen to that.

And, don't forget being extra careful in parking lots. Some crazed woman almost hit Ema today and then had the nerve to ask me to get out of her way. I put the story in my blog.

That also coincides with drive nicely. :) Be kind and considerate to other drivers and pedestrians. It's sad that some people don't have the true spirit of Christmas. Instead of a spirit of giving they're all "Give me, get out of my way, give me, get out of my way!"

I'm finding more and more, people are all about "ME" (themselves). While, I conceded that we all need some "ME" time, it should never be at the expense or endangerment of others.

I agree there are some bad drivers out there. You should always be on the look out for them.
