I'm falling in love with Cameron Mitchell. The guy has been stuck in my head since yesterday for some reason. :p

Seriously, I find that I totally love this character now. I really didn't care for him at first but now I absolutely love him. There are just little nuances about his personality that I find absolutely charming and delightful. As much as I love Jack, I love Cameron too. Cam isn't a carbon copy of Jack and he has a personality I'm just really drawn to. I'm really glad that they picked Ben Browder for this role. Now I'm hoping the show will get picked up by another channel because I want to see more of him!

Ummm......pinch yourself. Didn't you hate that character way back when?

Not that I'm complaining, because I do like CM and I'm a fan of BB.....

I don't think I ever hated him. Isn't that Livia? It's someone else on this board who has strong feelings against him. I just didn't care that much for him in the beginning. :)

Well, in that case, welcome to the Mitchell side.

LOL!

It's funny. I didn't think he was all that attractive at first but his personality makes him so much more attractive. Those are the best kind of guys. Guys who just look average when you meet them but they have such a great personality that it changes your physical perception of them. ;)

There's a certain quality that I love about Cameron's leadership. Jack was constantly funny, always cracking a joke where he could and the reason for that was clear. We had seen what the dark side of Jack's personality was in the feature film. Part of RDA's decision in how to play Jack was that he had been to that dark place where he had been suicidal and he simply did not want to go back there, so he refused to allow himself to go once again to that dark place thus he always kept a more upbeat attitude.

Cameron, on the other hand, hasn't been to that dark place (that we know of at least). And thus he's not always pushing himself to be constantly upbeat for fear of returning to such a mindset. So his attitude I think feels more natural, more like someone I would expect to work with. There have been times when we've seen him in a darker mood.

I love Cameron's personality, he is the kind of person I would enjoy being around. At the same time, being in a position of leadership, you definitely sense that there is a line nobody should cross with him. Fortunately he doesn't have to worry about any behavioral issues with his team, but if one of them were to become more or less beligerant towards him, I sense his reaction to them would be much darker than Jack's would have been.

Which I love them both, but their differences make them unique and I love each of their styles. I would probably rather work under Jack's leadership, but I'd rather hang out with Cam as a friend. :o
