Should he get rid of the dreds?

I've seen what the actor looks like with shorter/combed hair. I think it would take away from the character.
What he needs is some new clothes.

You know where a picture of him would be where I can see what he looks like with short hair?

Sorry, since most of his work was on a beach, most of the shots are without his shirt. LOL!

Funny!
Your so busy looking at the picture, you didn't comment on how you think short hair would affect his character.
LOL!

Let me translate "Hubba, hubba" for you. ;)
I think it would work GREAT for his character! :D

Come on Sheps hair isn't even that short.
Oh yeah, would that include taking his shirt off?
LOL!

Nah, but I agree that he could use a new wardrobe.

No haircut, I like that wild look, compared to the military look the others give off.

I'm actually pleasantly suprised with how nice he looks with no dreds, but still long. I think as long as it's still long, dreds or not, it would be fine for his character.

I just don't like the dreads.

:faint:  Angelica, you are killing me with those photos.
I think the dreds should go, but keepthe long hair. I don't mind his clothes, it sort of gives him the ruggid look. I don't think the loss of the dreds would change his character. It would not change his attitude, the way he fights, his beliefs, or the way he stares you down.

I aim to please Lemuria. LOL
Scratch that...with those pix (cus I know how much you like him):tla3 I am here to torture you. *evil laugh* :t2

NO FREAKKIN' WAY. His look is all about being wayy to macho and savagey. If he got a haircut he would look like some college guy from american pie or something!!
Id rather kill him off then cut his hair

I'm sticking with long hair, no dreds.

I voted no. Personally I don't like the dreads or the long hair. But it adds to his character. It's part of his character.

Now I'm wondering if his dreads are his (JM) real hair or do you think they wig it up for him?
Colonel Sampras
10-01-2007, 12:01 PM
He had them at a convention (Ytube) and I hope they arent. He looks really cool in them, if he took them off, he would be to sweet and too general. It's like taking away teal'c's FPrime symbol
Anissa T
10-01-2007, 01:13 PM
Yeah, but Christopher Judge, I'm pretty sure, doesn't walk around in his normal life with his characters symbol on his forehead.

No but a forged in gold tatto on a forhead is not the same as dreadlocks ^^
Anissa T
10-01-2007, 01:58 PM
True, I was more making a reference to would they wear it out of character, thus is it plausible the JM dreads are his own.
Colonel Sampras

Maybe he didn't want the hassle of taking them on and off and it was easier to just do them.

the dreads are cool, make him look more like a rambo type.
Robin K

Jason Momoa did indeed have the dreadlocks in real life, but the weight was causing headaches and neck problems, so his hair was cut. He'll wear a wig in the show. (Word from the Vancouver, BC convention in April)

I think the dreds fit Ronon's character better. But he looks pretty good with short hair too. :tla3

Considering that there aren't any 'girlie' type comments, just what are you ranting about cM??? (Oh...found them...I was just looking at this page...couldn't figure out what you were all upset about. And you have a lot to learn about the fairer sex, Young Grasshopper...*big grin*)
Chill out...because, nope, no reason for us, especially those of us who are adults, to stop being who we are! *grin*

Getting back on topic. :thor2
I have seen Jason Momoa's new hair cut (no Dreds) and it looks odd, but it works.
At least now he just has to wear a wig for the time being, on the show.
Never know in the movie they are coming out with he may say, I am being even more a rebel and go with his new do, without the dreds. Who knows...?
Robin K
09-08-2008, 01:52 PM
I would think it would depend a lot on the development of the character as to whether or not the producers insist on keeping the dreds.
At least when he's not in a scene he can take the wig off, and give his neck/shoulders a break from the weight of the dreds, eh?

He looks really weird when he's not in stargate
