I liked it. Well, I didn't like that they got kicked off Atlantis, but I liked the episode.
Once again the Ancients have shown their arrogance. Unfortunately, it's at the potential detriment of Gen O'Neill.
I love the interaction that the team had while on Earth, although, I'm not sure why Elizabeth was having so many issues.
I found it a "little" bit predictable that the left and a bit too easy for them to get a hold of that puddle jumper.

Mm... didnt like this episode either :p
I mean, it did have some good parts... But meh, in the end. Despite the fact the ancients seemed like the most badass people EVER, in current days, their complete... uh.. jerks <,<

Finally got around to watching this one tonight.
I thought the first 40 minutes were pretty boring. A bunch of filler. Honestly, I'll bet they could have easily made this two-parter into one episode. There just wasn't enough action going on in this episode and waaaaay too much dialogue non-relative filler dialogue.
The last 20 minutes were pretty cool. Of course John Sheppard isn't going to think twice about disobeying orders. That's been a part of his personality since the show began, he's got history of it dating way back before he joined the Stargate program.
I felt bad for poor Dr. Beckett in this episode. First when Rodney was insensitive to him as they were packing to leave Atlantis and then when Landry told him he didn't call him.
Even though Landry ordered them to stay, it looked to me that as they were flying out, there was a proud look in Landry's eye as though he had actually been hoping they'd do this. I'm sure when he called them up at the mid-way point it was because of protocol only. It's always fun to see our heroes do what's right by disobeying orders.
I wonder if any of the Ancients survived and if any of them will become a regular part of the show. It would be truly interesting if only the leader survived and in the end, she stays on Atlantis with our people and helps them, now that she's the only one of her kind left. With her help, they could build zpm's and get Atlantis to start functioning fully. How humbling for her. I hope they do that.

Another thing I thought about. You would think if they finally met living Ancients, that Daniel would go to Atlantis.
And isn't it interesting how in the past, the Ancients spoke a very hard to understand language. Now all of a sudden they all knew English? Why do the writers and directors insult our intelligence on these things? Do they think the fans forget details like that?
One thing I wondered about is whether or not they have sensors on those Stargates. What if something hits one of them and knocks it off course or destroys it? It's rather risky I think.
Also, something else that bugged me. Where did they find so many extra Stargates?

I suspect Daniel didn't go because the ancients didn't want anyone there. They barely let Jack and Woolsey there, let alone Daniel.
That whole language thing, well, every time they've done an episode with Ancients, they've spoke english. So, who knows. Remember the ancient Shep liked? She spoke english. The ancients Weir encounter in the past spoke english. The interactive tutor spoke english.
Again, I think it's just the shows time contraints.

I dont beleive their ancients still...
What a coincidence that they happened to be travling by the midway while the dedalus was there. And that the replicator ship showed after all of Stargate staff left Atlantis
And how atlantians just kicked them out. And how the atlantians had, oh, what, a couple centuries to waste on things like ACCENSION?
I dont know, but I honestly doubt the ancients are really ancients. Who knows, their heratige could be, but why would they send a ship back to the pegasus o.o
b00... And the interactive tutor was an ancient too.
Ask me, their probably all replicators. Which I would not like at all. Since... their boring.
But hey, Ba'al turned out to still be awsome, so you never know.
And trust me, they wont keep an ancient leader around carter, even if they are ancients. Think about it, that adds the "Were invincible" aspect to the show. I mean, ancients build stargates out of toasters o.o
In the end, the ancient would be too invincible for the cast. Why do you think half the reason that repli-ancient died was? Since he knew how to do things like make ZPM's?
Yeah..

It is too bad Sheppherd could not kick the Ancients butt as well. Talk about ungrateful. "Thank you for taking us off our damaged ship in hyperspace, bringing us home, looking after the place. NOW GET OUT!! "
