************************************************** **
I wasn't impressed with this episode. Here's why...
1. When they try to dial out and the DHD explodes and the guy starts shooting at them, you notice that the only people who were injured were the three extras. How very Star Trek of them. It would have been a little more believable if at least one of the regular cast members was also injured in that scene.
2. All the time Teyla was telling John the truth, he never heard her. All he heard was what his imagination was telling him his old pal was saying. But at the end when she tells him to go into the cave, he suddenly hears her clearly, well, he hears her through the voice of his pal, but still, he suddenly is able to hear what she is actually telling him. That was completely inconsistant.
3. The extras are all wearing camoflage but the main cast are wearing all black. That's not realistic. They should all be wearing the same thing and given the environment they were heading into on a rescue mission into the unknown, they should have all been wearing camoflage. SG-1 started the black uniforms last season and I think it's stupid. The only times they should be wearing black is if they're onboard a spaceship or if they're doing covert operations under the cover of night. But to go off world to another planet, wearing black is just stupid. They should be wearing either green, khaki, or camoflage. And why is it Teyla can now wear SGC uniforms but not Ronon?
I suppose they made up for the first because Teyla, McKay, and Ronon were all shot. But someone should have been injured in that scene besides the extras.
I thought the plot was rather boring as well.
