I thought this episode was very sad. When Apophis's host began to speak and Daniel translated, you couldn't help but feel for the guy. Imagine your body being taken over by an evil alien, being stolen away from your spouse and children never to see them again, and then being forced to live that way for thousands of years. You would long for death but it would never come. I think perhaps this is the one and only episode in the series that nearly brought me to tears. It was just such a sad thought. You just wanted to hug the guy and cry with him. Daniel had such a great line when the guy first spoke and Jack told Daniel to speak to him. "I don't know what to say. Thousands of years, trapped inside your own body, it's... it's like a nightmare. It's unimaginable." Trying to say anything I think would do an injustice in that situation. No one could imagine the torture of that poor man's life.

GASP another one I have missed. I can't believe two in the same season.

In reference to this particular episode Aphophis is resurrected by Sokar through a surcophucus (or however you spell it). It never shows it happening but Martuf makes the remark.
